On This Day February 22, 1968 Johnny Cash proposed to June Carter during a concert in London, Ontario. She said yes! Johnny and June married on March 1, 1968, in Franklin, Kentucky. John Carter Cash, their one child together, was born two years later on March 3, 1970. Johnny and June continued tour and work together for 35 years until June’s death on May 15, 2003 (aged 73). Cash died followed her death four months later on September 12, 2003 (aged 71).
