With more time on their hands than usual due to the COVID-19 outbreak, many artists have turned to social media to stay connected with their fans though live streams and viral challenges. One challenge, the Deep Cuts Challenge, was started by Tim McGraw where he nominated other artists to sing a “deep cut,” or a song that they love, even though many people might not know the song. Artists such as Charles Kelley, Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, and many more have participated in the challenge. See who all has participated below!
Artists have also taken to social media for the #DemoChallenge, #IStayHomeFor Challenge, to share songs written about quarantine, how they are dealing with quarantine, and to thank our healthcare heroes.
Tim started the challenge by singing “Take The Long Way Home” by John Schneider. He posted the video on Instagram, saying “Who’s got cool songs they’ve always loved to play when they’re sitting around the house or when u were in high school or college? Here’s one of my favs.” He then nominated Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, and Jason Aldean to participate in the challenge, writing “I know you got something. See what ya can reach back and play for us.”
