Dolly Parton launches her Own beauty brand
Dolly Parton, the queen of country music and glamour, is adding another venture to her impressive list—makeup! After teasing fans for months, Dolly Parton launches her Own beauty brand, “Dolly Beauty,” and it’s coming sooner than you think.
Just this morning, Dolly took to Instagram to give fans a sneak peek of what’s to come. She shared a post with the new Dolly Beauty account, showing off a bold red lipstick tube with the caption:
“I feel glamorous on the inside, so I want to look like it on the outside… something is coming @dollybeauty.”
In an interview with WWD, Dolly confirmed that the first product in her line, Heaven’s Kiss lipstick, will debut in four stunning shades: Jolene Red, Honey Plum, Rosebud, and Birthday Suit. Each lipstick will be available online starting August 22nd for $20. And in true Dolly style, the packaging is as glamorous as it gets, with each tube fully rhinestoned to perfection.
Dolly explained that her love for makeup has been a lifelong passion:
“I’ve always said I never leave a rhinestone unturned. I’ve wanted to be pretty my whole life like most girls, especially country girls that have a dream of glamour.”
But Dolly isn’t stopping at lipstick. She hinted that more beauty products, including complexion and eye products, are in the works. And knowing Dolly, this is just the beginning. She’s already conquered the fragrance world with her own perfume line, and she’s got her hands in everything from baking to wine, so it’s no surprise that she’s now taking on the beauty industry.
“I’ve always wanted my own wig line,” Dolly revealed. “But I always loved makeup, and when we did the fragrance, makeup seemed like the next step. Through the years, we’ll be doing different products with makeup, and eventually, we may do hair care or this or that. Anything that has to do with beauty — new dreams come every day.”
