Riley Green Admits His Mom Still Does This for Him

Riley Green recently shared a charming detail about his relationship with his mom—and fans are eating it up. During an interview with Taste of Country, Green revealed that his mother still has full access to his bank account… checkbook and all.

While chatting about his parents’ love for thrifting, Green shared a story that surprised even him. His dad called to ask about buying an enclosed trailer for just $750. Sensing it might be a less-than-perfect deal, Green gave the go-ahead anyway—then casually added, “Mom’s got my checkbook, just go get it.”

“I’m like, ‘Yeah, man, mom’s got my checkbook, just go — go get it.”

Yep, the chart-topping country artist is more than comfortable letting his mom manage purchases straight from his account. And based on his recent success, that account likely looks a lot different than it did a decade ago.

It’s a sweet reminder that even as careers grow and bank accounts grow bigger, some things stay the same—like trusting your mom to snag a good deal.

Green also shares that he joins in on the bargain hunting when he’s home in Alabama. “There’s this big flea market on Saturdays and Sundays,” he says.

“Me and my dad go up there and look for bargains and people’s used junk that nobody needs.”

Known for hits like “There Was This Girl” and “Worst Way,” Riley Green continues to connect with fans through both his music and his grounded, family-first lifestyle.
