Zach Bryan Claps Back at 14-Year-Old Fan, Sparks Debate

Some fans say he was right — others call him out for his tone.

Zach Bryan is facing backlash after calling out a 14-year-old fan on social media who waited hours for a chance to meet him.

The situation unfolded after Bryan’s second show at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19. According to a since-deleted TikTok video, the fan said they waited outside the venue until 4 a.m., hoping for a photo or quick hello. Instead, they watched the singer drive away without acknowledging the crowd.

In the caption, the fan claimed Bryan “didn’t even roll down his window to say hi.” Bryan caught wind of the video and responded in the comments.

“You’re not entitled after someone plays two and a half hours to a picture or a hello,” he wrote, adding “GOMD” — an acronym for “Get Off My D–k.”

The fan replied, “I’m literally a 14-year-old fan and this video was literally a joke. What a [d–k].”

The comment section quickly turned into a firestorm. Some agreed with Bryan’s message, but not his delivery. “He’s 100 percent right but ‘gomd’ on a fan’s TikTok is crazy work,” wrote singer Greylan James. One fan added, “Rare time Zach Bryan is in the right.”

But not everyone was on Bryan’s side. Singer Gavin Adcock said, “If you can’t handle the criticism of a 14-year-old why do people idolize you?” He added, “He’s got feelings too and you’re a ‘grown man’ nearly 30.”

Another user pointed out, “She’s a CHILD… He could’ve handled that way better.”

Despite the controversy, Bryan ended his three-night run on a high note. Bruce Springsteen made a surprise appearance during night three, joining Bryan and Kings of Leon’s Caleb Followill to perform “Atlantic City” and “Revival.”
