According to a new survey, 35{a18c87a46add82dbee5e4fa4c0cab30d5f6e3bbf78c3f52c3c01413f7f531a16} of Americans think it’s unnecessary for a couple to host one of these events.

A gender reveal party

Gender reveal parties have grown in popularity over the past decade but when asked about them, the number one answer Americans gave was “unnecessary”. The next most popular responses were, in order, “trendy”, “fad”, “silly”, “self-indulgent”, “fun” and “joyous”. I’m sure your answer depends somewhat on whose gender reveal party you’re going to. If it’s a close family member or friend you probably feel differently than if you get dragged to some party of some couple you barely know. I have never been to a gender reveal party and I’m just fine with that. Casey just went to one this weekend! Have you ever hosted a gender reveal party? How many have you been to? What do you think of them?
