Join the military
Anyone born on September 11, 2001 is turning 17 years old today and is eligible to join the military with their parent’s permission. That 17 year old would have to have a high school diploma or, in some cases, a GED. However, the Pentagon estimates that 71{a18c87a46add82dbee5e4fa4c0cab30d5f6e3bbf78c3f52c3c01413f7f531a16} of current 17 – 24 year olds would fail to qualify to enter the military for any number of reasons.
