According to a new study, the average Hoosier adult does this for just over 46 minutes every weekday.
Commutes
Our average commute in Indiana is 23 minutes each way which gives us the 16th shortest commutes in the nation. My hometown of Washington, D.C. has the longest commutes at an hour and 27 minutes (although the commute in that area has gotten better because of the Federal government shutdown). Afternoon commutes tend to be worse than morning commutes in almost every state because people tend to leave work around the same time but stagger their arrival times a bit in the morning. My commute is just about an hour and five minutes a day (and that’s without much traffic at all because of the time of day I am commuting). How long is your daily commute both ways?
