Luke Bryan Responds Hilariously to Being Mistaken for Blake Shelton

Luke Bryan recently had a hilarious encounter when a fan mistook him for Blake Shelton.
The country stars, known for their playful jabs at each other, got another chance to laugh together thanks to a gas station mix-up.
The Gas Station Mix-Up
While fishing with his son, Tate, Bryan stopped at a gas station where a tattooed stranger kept staring at him.
Initially, Bryan thought the man recognized him. But when the fan asked, “You’re not Blake Shelton, are you?” Bryan couldn’t help but chuckle.
The fan went on to say Bryan looked just like Shelton, adding, “You’re his doppelganger!”
When Bryan agreed, the fan commented on what it would be like to have Shelton’s fortune.
Bryan laughed, replying, “Identity theft is not a joke” in his Instagram caption, tagging Blake Shelton.
A Friendly Country Feud
This funny moment is just another chapter in the long-running friendly rivalry between the two country stars. For years, they’ve playfully teased each other about everything from their music careers to their bars—Bryan’s 32 Bridge and Shelton’s Ole Red.
Shelton has even joked in the past that anyone wearing Luke Bryan merch isn’t welcome at his bars. Bryan fired back, inviting those fans to 32 Bridge instead.
A Mutual Respect

Despite the back-and-forth, it’s all in good fun. The two share a deep respect for one another. While they haven’t recorded a song together yet, they’ve performed together several times, including at the 2016 ACM Awards, where they sang “Huntin’, Fishin’ and Lovin’ Every Day.”
Waiting on Shelton’s Response
Fans are eagerly waiting for Shelton’s response, knowing the duo’s lighthearted banter is always entertaining. Will he fire back with another joke? Time will tell!
