Morgan Wallen Says Album Is Officially Done, Teases New Song

After a few releases and a ton of song teasers, Morgan Wallen says the album is officially done.

We’ve all been waiting in the wings for this new project to arrive and based on what Wallen’s shared so far, this album may lean more on the heavier side than the rest. Tracks like I’m The Problem, Smile, and Lies, Lies, Lies seem to take us down a darker road of being alone with your thoughts. Sure, we get some tempo with Love Somebody, but the lyrics hold a lot of weight, telling the story of someone who struggles to find trust in another person and wants to be seen for more than the fame.

Teaser clips of songs like I’m A Little Crazy and Superman, which he wrote for his son, offer us a view at some of the demons he’s fought but doesn’t hide from.

Morgan’s latest tease, Just In Case, keeps the heavier vibe of this project alive.

With all the speculation about this being a double album, it’d make a lot of sense to split it sonically down the middle. Maybe something similar to Miranda Lambert’s The Weight of These Wings? That’s probably a stretch. Until we get the official word from Morgan himself, we continue to wait … for just a little while longer.
