After five years of endless love songs inspired by one another, Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans have decided to part ways.
Kelsea took to Instagram stories to share the news stating:
“This deeply difficult decision is the result of a journey of love, growth, and effort that ultimately has come to an end,” Kelsea, who tied the knot with the Australian country star in Dec. 2017, continued. “It’s hard to find the words here…but I feel extremely grateful for the years of marriage to Morgan and hopeful for the next seasons.”
Kelsea concluded her message with an understandable request.
“With very active schedules coming up, please be mindful that we are both fragile, actively healing, and showing up the best we can.”
Morgan took to his own Instagram to share his statement on the divorce stating,
“I am very sad to confirm that after almost 5 years of marriage, Kelsea and I are parting ways. I wish it were otherwise but sadly it is not.”
This statement lines up with Kelsea choosing to file for divorce due to “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for her split from the Australian singer.
