Kacey Musgraves Breaks Silence On Viral Beyonce Grammy Clip

Kacey Musgraves has shut down the rumor she has a problem with Beyonce. Musgraves “Deeper Well” was nominated for Album of the Year at the 67th annual Grammy awards, eventually losing out to Beyonce’s “Cowboy Carter”. Kacey didn’t go home empty-handed – she won Best Country Song for The Architect during the ceremony. However, social media immediately began speculating she was upset with Beyonce’s win, after this clip her reaction went viral.

Accordingly, the 36-year-old’s representative shot down the rumor in a statement issued to E! News.

“It’s a sensationalistic false narrative meant to pit two talented female artists against each other,” they commented. “There was simply no scowl or expression made.”

Beyoncé has received criticism from some country music fans for crossing over into the genre with Cowboy Carter. However, Kacey has remained out of the drama. She’s even made statements in the past supporting her fellow Texan. In an interview for The Cut in March 2024, Kacey insisted she supported the Texas-born superstar getting involved in the country scene.

“The more the f**king merrier,” she declared. “I don’t really care. It doesn’t affect what I’m doing. It doesn’t affect me. I’ve always been just doing my own thing.”
