For the past 33 years, an organization in New York City has advertised one of these events and, although it has never actually taken place, it has been advertised again this year as allegedly happening today.

An April Fool’s Day parade

The New York City April Fool’s Day parade has never actually taken place but elaborate press releases have been released every year for the past 33. The press release typically pokes fun at people and stories and politicians that have been in the news over the previous year. This year, the 34th annual parade claims to have floats featuring President Trump, Jussie Smollet (from “Empire”) and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg. If you’re headed to New York today, watch out for the crowds and traffic along the parade route and Happy April Fool’s Day!
