Scotty McCreery halted his concert at the Colorado State Fair over the weekend after witnessing a disturbing incident in the crowd. During the introduction to his award-winning song, “It Matters To Her,” McCreery noticed a man reportedly assaulting a woman, prompting him to stop the show for more than two minutes.

In a video circulating on social media, the North Carolina native is heard addressing the situation directly, saying, “Right here, that’s a lady you just hit, sir.” The crowd gasps audibly as McCreery continues, “Absolutely not, you just hit the lady. Police? Security? Is she OK? Get the heck out of here.”

The 30-year-old singer expressed his disbelief on stage, questioning the actions of the alleged assailant: “On God’s green earth. At a Scotty McCreery show? What are you doing?” McCreery urged the audience to assist authorities by identifying the man involved, who was eventually escorted out of the venue.

Colorado State Fair officials confirmed the incident and stated that it occurred during McCreery’s set. Olga Robak, the director of communications for the Colorado Department of Agriculture, acknowledged that state fair security intervened to help control the situation. The name of the man involved has not been released, and it remains unclear if he was arrested. The incident is still under investigation.
