Country music icon Wynonna Judd made a surprise appearance before the Indiana Fever’s Sunday game (July 27) against the Chicago Sky — and the Grammy winner was just as starstruck as the players.

“The squad got to meet Grammy award-winner Wynonna Judd before today’s game in Chicago ❤️🎶,” the Fever shared on Instagram, posting photos and video of Judd smiling alongside Caitlin Clark, Sophie Cunningham, and Lexie Hull.

In the clip, Cunningham wraps Judd in a hug and exclaims, “You are such a star, you are awesome! How are you? Oh, don’t cry!”

“I’m serious,” Judd replies emotionally. “I don’t get excited about a lot, but this is my absolute dream.”

Judd also greeted head coach Stephanie White, who told her, “Great to meet you!”

Over on her Instagram Stories, Judd reposted the moment and captioned a photo with Clark, Cunningham, and Hull: “The quartet you didn’t know you needed.”

Fans were quick to comment on Judd’s height next to the towering WNBA stars.

“I thought Wynonna’s as tall as them. She looks tiny!” one user wrote.
Another replied, “Same! Players look like giants next to her. I Googled it… Wynonna is 5’5”.”
“Smooth voice and splash sisters! Love to see it,” added another fan.

The visit must’ve brought good luck — the Fever defeated the Sky 93-78, led by Kelsey Mitchell’s 35 points and six assists. Mitchell has stepped up as Caitlin Clark continues to miss games due to injury. With the win, Indiana improved to 14-12 on the season.
