According to a new study, doing this for a short period of time several times a day during work can boost creativity and productivity.




The study found that people who too frequent short breaks to walk or ride a bike or just move around did better on mental tasks at work and were more creative and productive. Staying in one place and staring at a computer screen all day is not as efficient as getting away for a little bit throughout the day. I like to walk a couple of miles a day and I sometimes do it on a treadmill in our gym. When I get back to the studio, I feel a lot more productive and creative.
