According to a new study out yesterday, the American Academy of Pediatrics suggests parents of toddlers should skip buying their children these types of toys this Christmas.

Anything electronic

The group of doctors recommends skipping any kind of electronic toys for children younger than five. They say blocks or even a simple cardboard box are a better choice for teaching kids critical thinking and language skills. The electronic games do not activate parts of the brain that help develop things like speech and reasoning. Plus a cardboard box is way cheaper! Do you plan to buy any electronic toys for your kids this year?
