According to a new survey, this is Hoosiers’ number one favorite holiday sweet treat.
Pumpkin pie
Pumpkin pie is the national number one favorite, the Midwest’s number one favorite and the favorite of Hoosiers, beating out egg nog, candy canes, gingerbread and fruitcake. Cookies were not included in the survey because you can get cookies any time of year. These are items that you only see around the holidays. People in the northeast prefer egg nog and only Alaska and Arizona prefer candy canes. Gingerbread is not that popular but only Vermont likes fruitcake. I am not a fan of any of the items on the list but I guess I would have to go with egg nog or candy canes. What is your favorite holiday sweet treat?
