According to a new study, spending just five minutes here can greatly improve your mood.

A new study found that spending five minutes outdoors, or in nature, can greatly improve your mood. Part of the benefit comes from just taking a five minute break but most of it comes from being in the outdoor setting. More than five minutes outdoors does not lift your mood any further so you only need to step outside for a bit to get a boost. Or, if you can’t make it outside, researchers also found that simply looking at pictures of nature and the outdoors also improves your mood – not quite as much as the real thing but still an improvement!
